June 9 - July 2 Group Show: "Artistic Convergence in CDMX"

Introduction

A multidisciplinary art exhibition that comprises three sections displayed across two rooms of the Art/Works gallery. The three parts include The Vision of Four, Urban Tribes and The Mural. 

Room #1: The Vision of Four

Four multidisciplinary artists (Sr. Yels, The Chuco, Alex Birk and 54p) from Mexico and Russia decided to come together to showcase their work. The main concept is to illustrate their career journey through various art pieces that were created at different stages of their lives. Each of the four walls will be assigned to an individual artist where they can construct their own unique stories and experiences. While the majority of the artworks are traditional paintings on canvas, artists will also exhibit art toys, sculptures and piñatas. The primary objective is to help artists reach new audiences in CDMX and showcase their talents. An opportunity to put their works in front of more people and sell their creations allows them to continue their artistic journey. 

Room #2: Urban Tribes

Urban Tribes is a concept that strives to explore how the emergence of countercultures affects art space. The collection will explore the controversial topics of cultural appropriation and appreciation in the local art scene. Urban Tribes comprises several artists who offer their interpretation of these underworlds that shape daily life in Mexico City. Artists will exhibit their creations using various media and techniques, including art toys, digital and visual art, sculptures and more. 

The Mural

The final addition to the exhibition is a mural created by two artists 54p (Paul Bello) and Sr. Yels. The project intends to show how a combination of different styles and techniques can produce a stand-alone art piece. The artwork will be created and displayed on one of the walls of the Art/Works gallery.

Introducción: 

Exhibición artística multidisciplinaria en la cual estará conformada en tres secciones diferentes que se mostrarán en las dos salas de la galería y en algún muro de Art/Works. Las tres propuestas a exponer serán Vision de 4, Tribus Urbanas y El Mural.

Sala 1. Visión de 4

Cuatro artistas multidisciplinarios originarios de México y Rusia residentes de la Ciudad de México (Sr. Yels, The Chuco, Alex Birk y 54p) decidieron unirse para mostrar su trabajo como artistas a lo largo de su carrera como tales. En una de las salas los artistas mostraran diferentes obras que han creado en diferentes etapas de su vida como creativos. En la primer sala cada uno de los 4 artistas tomara una pared de las cuatro que hay para mostrar su trabajo de manera individual. La mayoría de las obras serán pinturas, pero también exhibirán art toys, escultura y una piñata. En esta primer parte de la exhibición el objetivo es que los artistas sean más visibles dentro de la escena artística de la CDMX y su trabajo pueda ser apreciado por más personas, también buscan que algunas de sus piezas se vendan para poder seguir sustentando su trabajo artístico.

Sala 2: Tribus Urbanas.

En esta oportunidad el colectivo tiene la intención de explorar el entorno y apropiación cultural que se suscita a partir del surgimiento de contraculturas. Es mediante este concepto que se tiene la intención, mediante distintas expresiones artísticas, en donde de manera colectiva con la aportación de diversos artistas, mostraran su interpretación de estos submundos que son parte de la vida cotidiana citadina. En esta sala diferentes artistas exhibirán una solo pieza utilizando medios y técnicas diferentes en la cual habrá art toys, gráficas, pinturas entre otros medios. La temática que compartirán los artistas será Tribus Urbanas.

El Mural

Como parte complementaria de esta exposición dos de los cuatro artistas pintaran un mural en conjunto en el cual mostraran mediante el uso de diferentes estilos crear una sola obra. Por medio de la pintura mural Sr. Yels y 54p (Paul Bello) realizarán una obra que estará en alguna de las paredes de Art/Works.
